Used and Refurbished Disc Stack Separators

The majority of our refurbished high speed disc stack separators are machines that we have been looking after for some time and have been replaced with new equipment. This means we generally know the service history and our refurbishment process is designed to give this used equipment a new lease of life.

All of our used centrifuges are completely stripped down to the bare frame so that every component part of the centrifuge can be inspected for wear. Since we are dealing with high speed rotating equipment great care must be taken to ensure that any refurbishment is built on sound foundations. The bare frame is then shot blasted and repainted. Any worn components are replaced during the rebuild along with the wear parts that make up the major service parts kit.
As part of the rebuild process it may be necessary to machine bearing housings which is all done in-house by our own machinists and years of expertise. Our centrifuge engineers will rebuild the bowl assembly which is then sent for dynamic balancing in our own workshop. Every used centrifuge is given a balancing test certificate on completion of the dynamic balancing to ISO Standard G2.5. Finally, the completed centrifuge is transferred to the test area where is it is run up to speed and tested before the Factory Acceptance Test which marks the end of the process.

Most refurbished separators are sold as systems complete with a new control panel. The control panels and any process automation are customer specific which we build to control the separator and related process equipment.
